Alan Keating made one of the best calls in High Stakes Pokerhistory on Monday's episode, and he shared what went through his mind during the $910,000 pot, in a video on his brand-new YouTube channel.

The high roller has built up a fan base within the poker community over the past few years from his appearances on shows such as Hustler Casino Liveand High Stakes Poker. Fans enjoy watching his loose-aggressive style of play and friendly demeanor at the poker table. He isn't afraid to fire off a six-figure bluff or make an insane hero call for stacks, and you won't catch him berating his opponents.

But the poker world hasn't really had the opportunity to get inside mind ... until now.

Poker Player Discusses Epic $900k Pot

Keating played, and won, one of the largest pots ever on High Stakes Poker, a poker cash game show that originally launched in the Game Show Network in 2006. Winning the hand, against a familiar foe, Peter, required the new YouTuber to make a six-figure call on the river with nothing but third pair.

Keating eventually made the call and took down the $910,000 pot against an opponent who was turning an even smaller pair and a missed flush draw into a bluff. The call impressed not only High Stakes Pokercommentator Nick Schulman, but many other high-profile pros.

"I'm excited to play with everyone at this table," Keating said in an his first YouTube video when interviewed prior to the game. "I know it's going to be a lot of fun. And I'm not going to let Peter leave this table without a fight."

He wasn't kidding. Keating went to war with Peter, a high-stakes gambler who, like Keating, isn't afraid to splash the pot. The two high rollers have some history, including a $2 million pot Peter won on Hustler Casino Live. This time around, the pot went in the other direction. But how did Keating find the courage to make a $230,000 call on the river with fourth pair after his opponent raised big on the turn?

"Everything to this point, the build up, the anticipation, the fighting back and forth, has led to this hand," Keating said as he began to reveal his thought process in the viral hand. "I'm gonna probably show it to my grandkids."

Steve, the player who benefited from embattled attorney Tom Goldstein folding the best hand in a $540,000 pot at showdown on Hustler Casino Livelast year, had nothing but eight-high and bet $4,000 on the A♣7♠K♠flop.

Peter, with 6♠3♠for a flush draw, raised on the button to $13,000. Keating, who was in the small blind with 9♦7♦, re-raised to $41,000 with third pair on a wet board.

"You know, I'm kind of thinking, what can he have here, right" Keating explained. "And I have a 7, so maybe if I just raise I'll win the hand on the spot."

Peter made the call, but Steve could no longer continue in the hand. The turn was the 6♥, helpful to Peter as it gave him a pair to go along with his draw.

"Here, I don't really know what to do. I'm just trying to fight my way out of this hand," Keating said of the situation he found himself in before deciding if he should bet or check.

He eventually decided on betting and went on the larger side — $58,000. But that didn't get the job done as his opponent raised it up to $175,000. Peter's raise also didn't put an end to the hand as Keating made the call to see the 4♥on the river, a card that didn't improve either hand.

Keating checked the river and then faced an all in bet of $235,000. He only had third pair, and few poker players ever would be able to find a call in that spot.

"With as much raising as he's done, he still hadn't convinced me that he had me beat," Keating said. "At the same time, when you call here and he shows you three of a kind or two pair, you just feel like a dummy. You feel like the dumbest person on the planet."

Keating did make the call and didn't have any need to "feel like the dumbest person on the planet" because he made the right call and took down the $911,000 pot.
